Registration Policies

• Registration forms must be received at least TWO weeks prior to a scheduled session to guarantee a seat in the class. Registrants from Nylink member libraries are added to the roster in the order that registration forms are received.
• Classes will be cancelled if less than six students are enrolled two weeks prior to the scheduled class date.
• Late registrations will be accepted on a space-available basis. No registrations will be accepted within 48 hours of the scheduled session date.
• Nylink will notify Wait Listed or Non-Registered students if a class slot becomes available to them and inform them that they are "authorized to attend." Due to physical class size limitations and to the limited availability of class training materials, students must received this "authorized to attend" notification prior to attending any class.

1 - There is no fee for product demonstration webinars for in-state participants and members [please see individual descriptions]. The cost of webinars is per individual. Multiple employees from one institution must register separately.

The Nylink Member Discount rate applies to individuals at member institutions paying annual membership dues. The discounted rate does not apply to Nylink affiliates [institutions acquiring a specific service or product from Nylink but not paying dues]. Read more about Nylink membership.

3 - Premium members receive one free By Request class per year, instructor's travel included.

Confirmation Policy

• Enrolled students will receive a confirmation email when the class has reached the minimum numbers of enrolled students.
• Space in classes is limited. If a class is full when we receive your registration form, we will add your name to a waiting list and email you immediately. If space becomes available, we will contact you. Nylink will notify Wait Listed or Non-Registered students if a class slot becomes available to them and inform them that they are "authorized to attend." Due to physical class size limitations and to the limited availability of class training materials, students must received this "authorized to attend" notification prior to attending any class.
• In the event that a class is cancelled, confirmed students will be notified via email, telephone, or fax prior to the scheduled class date. Please provide a home telephone number so we may contact you in the event that a class is cancelled at the last minute due to extraordinary circumstances such as illness or weather. Classes cancelled for this reason will be rescheduled.

No-Show Policy / Cancellation

Nylink will bill the registrant/institution the full class fee for failure to attend confirmed sessions. Nylink will also bill the registrant/institution the full class fee for cancellations after the class has been confirmed. Exceptions to this policy may be made for registrants with extenuating circumstances. Please contact Deidre Dowling via email at dowlingd@nylink.org with questions.

Online Workshops:
Once a class is underway, registrants or their institution are responsible for the full price of distance education sessions regardless of whether or not the registrant completes the class.

Inclement Weather Policy

In the event of a class cancellation due to inclement weather or other emergencies, participants will be contacted via their home and work email addresses by 8 a.m. the morning of the scheduled class. In the event that a home email address is not available, participants will be contacted by telephone.

Participants may also receive information on class cancellations by calling Nylink at 1-800-342-3353 after 7:30 a.m. the morning of the class.

Every effort will be made to reschedule cancelled classes as soon as possible.
