The goal of this one-day summit is to enhance New York State libraries’ leadership role in contributing high-quality local holdings to the OCLC WorldCat union catalog. For many years, libraries have shared item-specific holdings information - regarding their serials collections, in particular - regionally and beyond. This effort has helped library users everywhere locate and obtain access to the materials they need. The summit will provide a forum for the exchange of ideas regarding issues related to the ongoing contribution and maintenance of Local Holdings.
