Open WorldCat Usage Statistics
Libraries that use the WorldCat database to obtain, contribute or set holdings on bibliographic records, and that subscribe to the WorldCat database on FirstSearch have their holdings displayed on OpenWorld/WorldCat.org. The goal of OpenWorld/ WorldCat.org is to raise libraries’ visibility on the Web.
To determine if OpenWorld/WorldCat.org is working in reminding the Web users that libraries are most definitely here to stay, please see your library’s OpenWorld/WorldCat.org usage statistics. These usage statistics are available to all FirstSearch WorldCat subscribers in the “WorldCat.org Clicks to Libraries Report” on the OCLC Usage Statistics web site at http://www.stats.oclc.org/cusp/nav, under the “WorldCat.org” tab; opening the “WorldCat.org Clicks to Libraries Report” link will display the number of times users on OpenWorld/WorldCat.org click to your library’s specific features such as your online catalog and OpenURL links. To view a sample of the “WorldCat.org Clicks to Libraries Report,” please see below:
