PSYCINFO 1887 – A New Name

The PsycINFO 1887 database on FirstSearch has a new name: PsycINFO. Z39.50 sites that use the entire database name must replace “PsycINFO_1887” with “PsycINFO” or “psi3.” Z39.50 sites that use the short name “psi3” for this database do not need to make any changes to their implementations. Libraries that use automatic logon capability to access FirstSearch either through IP-address recognition or the OCLC WebScript CGI application do not need to make any changes to their URLs or scripts. OCLC has created an alias for the database name.
