The Use of Future Date in WorldCat Resource Sharing
If you are the lender and don’t have the requested item on hand, but expect to in the future, click Future Date and enter a date in the YYYYMMDD format. Then click Update. The system responds with a message confirming that the record was updated. The request goes to the next Lender in the Lender list to see if another Lender can fill the request earlier. If none can, the request will come back to you on the date you specify. The request also appears in the borrowers Request Manager under the status Retry with the future date. Once the Future Date occurs, the status changes to Retry/Pending.
